Last week I was at my quarterly Producers Club meeting in Nashville. Robin always provides great content for marketing and business overall. At this meeting, she added a session on feeling better using the Egoscue method. I won’t elaborate on the early morning session to improve my core strength which exacerbated my need for being pain free.
It’s all about improving one’s posture.
Just think about this: what is your posture like while tapping away on your keyboard for hours on end day in and day out? Pete Egoscue has written an additional book to address this chronic problem – Pain Free At Your PC. Everyone in attendance received a complimentary copy of this book and was guided through some basic Egoscue exercises (called e-cises) that improve posture and range of motion and more. Just those few minutes of simple e-cises and I could feel the difference.
My stress goes to my neck and shoulder areas (it has for decades) and I believe that it’s all related to my poor posture. It doesn’t help that I am in front of a PC way too much (it’s a necessary evil) at work and at home. So, knowing that being in front of a PC won’t change, I need to change contributing factors to the stress.
Check out the Pain Free books and give me comments on what you are doing to help yourself be pain free.
